Northumbria 2007

Discussion and photos on the Syncro forum

At the other end of August, Secretary Kev again had something up his sleeve… Northumbria Green Lanes. Based at a massive and full campsite near Bamburgh Castle over the bank holiday, this pure laning event covered an enormous mileage in two days. Unfortunately Kev himself could not make this event, but having provided detailed routes – they just had to be driven. Three features stood out: many overgrown and rarely driven; plenty of beautiful and long distance views; and more than a few good wading fords. The area covered was from West of Newcastle back up to Bamburgh – London-based Andy McClements covering over 1000 miles for the long weekend.
